    but Brady Hoke, coach at San Diego State.

    I wouldnt call this hire a 'home run' but its a solid hire. It'll take a few years to undo the damage Rich-Rod did.

    I agree, Hoke is a good coach with a proven track record for turning around programs.

    He turned SDSU from an also-ran into a fine program, winning 9 games this year.

    He was a hot coach a few years back. College football needs Michigan good again.

    College football is at its best when Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, FSU, Miami, USC, Texas, Nebraska and Oklahoma are at their best. I know I probably left some off that list.

    It does make college football more exciting when the "big-time programs" are playing well. But, I have thoroughly enjoyed Michigan's downfall.
